WANT TO GET INVOLVED? COME JOIN THE REVOLUTION!

What is NESS?

Welcome to the North East Socialist Singers, otherwise known as NESS! Formed in June 2014 and led by Bethany Elen Coyle, we are a collective who have come together for the joy of singing songs that support social and political change.

We are unaffiliated to any political organisation but share commitment to social justice, democracy, freedom and peace.

We are based at the Mining Institute, Westgate Road, Newcastle and we meet weekly on Wednesday evenings, 7-9pm

If you are interested in joining us …

We would love to meet you!  There are no auditions, the choir is open to all abilities and learning styles, and no previous singing experience is required. You do not need to be able to read music, but if you are going to join us for any of our public performances, you will be expected to learn the songs.

Although performance is not our main reason for being, we have sung at a number of festivals, political rallies and events and high profile events in the North East. However for those members who would prefer to avoid the limelight, there is no pressure to join us on stage.

We hope to sing with you soon!
